Being Angry Can Kill You

Man is supposed to have been created in the image of God, correct? What does the creation account given in Genesis say, something along the lines of in the image of God He created them, male and female? So, let us consider some of the attributes of God, for if we are in His image it just might behoove us to study His character traits as presented in the Bible in order that we may better understand ourselves.

What are some of the better attributes of God's personality and character? Well, there is creativity if you consider the creation in general. Sociability if you consider the creation of man. Diversity if you consider the variety found in nature AND in human thought and philosophy. Protective if you consider the pillar of fire that traveled with the children of Israel as they fled Egypt. The list goes on and on, correct? But are there any bad attributes?

What is part of life but a grand collection of attributes and ideals and habits and thoughts and things that stand in contrast to each other? For everything that IS, for everything that exists there can usually be found something opposite and this is no different when it comes to God. For all of the good qualities that God is said to possess, to include love, when it comes to the opposing qualities it is God's anger that should concern man the most.

Are you in the image of God? If you wish to be counted as being made in the image of God all of His finer attributes sound swell, but that most negative attribute of anger often quells and trumps the happiness and love. Anger has a way of changing an individual, a group, a family, a belief, a nation...even a God. You name it and it is highly likely that if anger is present the situation WILL be affected negatively as will people, outcomes, responses...everything.

The bottom line is that the greater the grasp of anger on a person/situation the greater the damage done by the vicious imprint left by the anger.

Anger itself CAN be useful but it must be used sparingly lest the abuse of such anger metastasize into an absolutely horrific character trait that, once out of control exhibits a voracious appetite for the total control of others. At its very worst anger can drive the individual/individuals into a dark place that commands, demands, directs, steers, and guides everything and everyone by fear. This anger sees and hears and feels and wants nothing more than more of itself and this ALWAYS ends one tragic way: in full-blown rage and death.

Anger is God's number one problem. The imbalance and imperfection suffered by God because of His recurring bouts of absolute rage and the depth of His anger have not only marred what could and should be very good lessons and messages in the Bible, but this most wicked of attributes has placed a terrible stranglehold on mankind.

Anger kills and we see this every day in some form or other. While this is the truth it must also be remembered that there is also great good in the world and great love that are both readily available and experienced by many. Look inside of yourself and not just because it sounds like a nice thing to do, but because to change something that is affected by anger or that is the effect of anger, well...you are best served by starting from within.

When it comes to starting from within you should take a look at what you believe and why you believe it. Do you believe in a God of love or do you believe in a God of rage? A good clue would be for you to listen to the things you are praying for. Not too long ago I heard a friend of mine praying fervently that God unleash His wrath on the gays/lesbians and on the politicians who support legislation FOR equal rights for the gays/lesbians.

Unleash His wrath. That is what she prayed for, that God bring down the mighty who pursue all things against God, and then raise up all those who are humble and who adhere very tenaciously to the Word of God. It wasn't necessarily just the part about asking for God to unleash His wrath but how she said it. "Lord, unleash your wrath! Show them your terrible anger! Strike down the mighty who care not for your Word, Lord! Be merciful and replace those who are humble in Your Word and in Your eyes into the places of power and leadership! Bring this country back to where it was founded, Lord, on your word!"

Show them your terrible anger? Have you ever wondered what God's terrible anger looks like?

Jeremiah 36:7, says, "Perhaps they will bring their petition before the LORD and will each turn from their wicked ways, for the anger and wrath pronounced against this people by the LORD are great."

Ezekiel 7:12, says, "Yes, the time has come; the day is here! Buyers should not rejoice over bargains, nor sellers grieve over losses, for all of them will fall under my terrible anger."

Job 16:9, says, "God hates me and angrily tears me apart. He snaps His teeth at me and pierces me with His eyes."

Lord, unleash your wrath? Have you ever seen God's wrath unleashed?

Psalm 78:49, says, "He cast upon them the fierceness of His anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them."

Lamentations 4:11, says, "The LORD gave full vent to his wrath; he poured out his hot anger, and he kindled a fire in Zion that consumed its foundations."

Ezekiel 5:13, says, "Thus my anger will be spent and I will satisfy my wrath on them, and I will be appeased; then they will know that I, the LORD, have spoken in my zeal when I have spent my wrath upon them."

Yes, I am aware that there are many opinions in the differences in which the LORD or GOD is supposed to have intended these statements to mean. The point is still the same. Lots and lots of anger, and lots and lots of wrath. Explain it any way you wish. Make every excuse possible as to why the perfect God seems to have a great deal of trouble with His anger and His wrath and how such causes Him to behave.

Many people truly believe that humans deserve this anger and wrath from God. Some people go even further and seem to think that they can behave in an angry and vengeful and mean and disgusting manner towards their fellow man because GOD has instructed them to do so and GOD is righteous and perfect in His anger and wrath.

Some people even kill their fellow man with the horrible, insanely delusional idea that they are acting on the righteous anger and instruction from God; the purity of God's wrath gives them the right to do terrible things in the name of God and God's anger...because such is God's judgment...

...after all, God is perfect, even in His anger.

The truth is, and thank goodness for this, not everyone who believes in God and Jesus or Allah are consumed by the supernatural hate of their chosen divine being. But make no mistake about it, there are many people who have this serious God-driven anger 'defect' in their belief repertoire. Sadly, many people who think like this do not want to hear how some people do terrible things in the name of God, no way. If you believe in God and love God and obey God...well then, dammit!! You just go right on ahead and do everything He tells you to do, and everything angry preachers of His gospel of disaster preach to you to do.

That's right. Let that divine anger within you bubble over as you conspire with both the seen and the unseen to harm, maim, or even kill those you (or the Bible, or any interpretation of the Bible for that matter) hold to be contrary to God and therefore an abomination. Abortion doctors and nurses, women who opt for abortions, leaders of gay and lesbian rights movements, gays and lesbians, politicians who support legislation that is deemed contrary to God, individuals or groups holding any faith NOT based on the Bible.Go right on ahead at full speed and don't worry about the angry things that an angry God tells you to do because that anger is just the flip side of the magnificent love of God...

...go right on ahead. Be the dangerous tool manipulated by an angry God. Remember to preach great and grand love first, but if people do not respond always fall back on holy wrath. Fine. Do it. Then, after you are done hurting or maiming or mistreating or killing whomever it is that an anger-driven God or some equally angry whacked out preacher told you to kill...hey, you go right on ahead and pick up that shovel and start digging your own grave...

...because for all of that spiritual fervor and holy and righteous anger, even hope and peace and unfettered love that you truly think you represent you seem to have forgotten that anger kills. Your faith or the angry God of your faith may be informing or instructing you to do various terrible deeds, and that you will have absolution for such; you were doing God's work. That STILL does not hold you exempt from the bottom-line reality of anger...

...anger kills.

My God's Anger

Are you a Christian? Do you seek to convert people with stories of your God's love, saying, "My God loves you SO much He crucified His own Son on the cross for your sins?" Then when people don't want to convert to your God because of His supposed love do you find yourself trying to convert the people you preach to with threats of your God's anger, saying, "The time is short. You only have so long to accept God's love before His wrath comes upon all those who do not believe in and follow Him. Repent NOW! Lest the wrath of my God be upon you!"

I am ashamed to say used to think like this. I was raised to believe in the Bible and everything it has to say, and you know what? I am SO glad I saw the light and dropped the gospel of hate that fills the pages of the Bible. God loves you but hates your sin and will fry you in hell forever unless you believe in Him? Do you people who believe this crap and preach it, do you really look at and think about what you are saying? Do you see the problems with how you are trying to convert people to your bloodthirsty God?

Since the time I dropped the belief in the Christian God (or any of the gods for that matter) I have had a few individuals try to convert me back to the lunacy of the Bible's gospel. When I refuse I lay out my arguments, and I am often told that the reasons I am giving for not believing are not the truth, and that the REAL reason for my disbelief is my stubborn will to purposely do the opposite of whatever God commands. I am told, "You just do not like being under the directives of the Most High God and are like a disobedient child ignoring their parent. Like a disobedient child and parent end up with the parent disciplining the child, God will discipline you for your going against His word. You will reap His wrath."

What an absurd way to try to convert people to a religious belief. Threats? Are you serious? So, I am supposed to read all of these terrible things in the Bible that recount the horrible things the Christian God has done to people, and all of that terror is supposed to turn me to your twisted God? Are you insane? Yes, I think there is a little insanity involved in this entire, ridiculous religion thing. Why don't we take a peek at some of the folks claiming stupid crap about an ANGRY God about to burst a heart valve in the heat of His anger toward all those who do not want to believe in Him or His twisted religion.

So, your anger runs deep? I don't give a shit. Apparently, you have had a long-standing problem controlling your anger. I very strongly suggest that, since you are supposed to be the ultimate Almighty, that you conjure up some medication or SOMETHING to help you deal with your anger. Being that angry for as long as you have apparently been angry is NOT a healthy thing. You do know that being so angry CAN in fact kill you, correct?

How you can put science and corrupt religion into the same category is beyond me. Science is NOT religion and religion certainly should NEVER be taken as science. So, take your little chalice of wrath and shove it. I don't care how mighty you say you are. I don't care how many people you say you have killed. I don't care how many times in the Bible you say you will break everyone down to their knees so they will bow to you in submission. You are wrong, Mr. God, and while you say this and that is an abomination, the truth is you are the ultimate abomination for no matter how much love you are supposed to encompass you always choose hate. F**k you.

Religion is one big giant lie. Talk about wrath and sin all you want, but the bottom line is all you have is the deluded ravings of a book that is rife with error and loaded with hate. You go right on ahead and burn with all the wrath you want, asshole. You are sick with your anger and the desire to spill it out on anyone who will not do the stupid and hateful things you command. You are sick. The only fearful thing about God's supposed wrath is that this God of the Bible is quick to use His wrath to destroy anything at the drop of a hat. Then, when this same sicko God withholds His supposed wrath His idiot followers label that as love.

Earthquakes and tornadoes and high winds and droughts are part of the functioning health of the weather patterns of this planet and have NOTHING to do with the wrath of any divine being.

That's right. God is terrible. The only thing God fills anyone with on a consistent basis is fear.

Know Who the real God is and how the real God feels? God is frustrated and weary of mere mortal men and women? You do realize this is a problem with your ridiculous claim that your God is perfect, right? Is this what you have to preach in order to get people to believe your bullshit? Is that it? So many people walk right past your God to something else so you find it necessary to preach doom and gloom and hate and fear? I do not want your pathetic God or His pathetic message or His pathetic anger or His deluded book of misdeeds.

Nice. These people are really beyond fucked in the head. My goodness, look at what they are doing to their children. So SO sad. And making it worse these people use the law to back up the ridiculousness of their hate. People should just stop paying these idiots any mind at all. Don't give them money, no talk shows, no attention, no commercials...nothing.

Oh yeah...God is perfect. So, He was perfect when He told the children of Israel to completely obliterate an entire town and rip open the bellies of the pregnant women? What about when He allowed Lot to sleep and impregnate BOTH of his daughters? When He totally destroyed Job's life and the people in his life? Wait...when He let 9/11 happen, right? That was His so-called perfect judgment, right? Buddy, you need to try a lot harder to sell that bullshit.

This is hilarious. This is why God hates abortion? Hum. So, again explain to me why God told his soldiers in the Old Testament to destroy an entire town and rip open the bellies of the pregnant women if this very same God hates abortion? How does this work? Since it was God ordering the abortion it isn't abortion? Oh, wait. I get it. Because it wasn't the mother herself trying to remove the baby from her body it is not considered to be abortion. Whatever.

The Christian God is no different than any other God in the history of religion and in the history of all the things that people have ever worshiped. He is every bit as mean, jealous, stingy, angry, cruel, murderous, aggressive, backstabbing, hateful, spiteful, wicked...

When bad things happen, whose God gets the credit for having dished out divine wrath?

Ahh, the psychos of 9/11 were agents of God's wrath. Gotcha.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQ3IPK_0j_Y

Strike that. Reverse that. 9/11 was the wrath of Allah.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kqpZGBOKZQ

Gays and lesbians caused Hurricane Sandy? I didn't know they held that kind of power.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LB0DBwXfYKI

Now hold on a minute. I thought gays and lesbians are to blame for Hurricane Sandy and now you're telling me the grace of God is the cause?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nl91bjAg8Y

Hurricane Sandy was a soldier of Allah? You gotta be kidding me. How many people or deities can be responsible for the same act?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dK7T2ZBsz0

So it is not God or Allah or gays and lesbians who are to blame for the disasters, nope. Who is REALLY to blame? Satan.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j56gEOeL3pM

So the tsunami was of Allah's doing?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7_jwt914Y8

Or was the tsunami the wrath of God upon the heathen masses of America?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6urIlaQMqec

Wait. Wait, wait, wait. You freaking people need to freaking make a final decision on who is responsible for what. Is it God or Allah or Jesus or Satan or the Devil or the gays and lesbians who are to blame for all of the bad things and the natural disasters that happen in the world?

Abusing the Power of the Divine

Using God's Power to Call for the Destruction of People

Prayer is supposed to be one of the greatest gifts man received from God; this is what I was taught growing up. What makes prayer so very special is that it is supposed to be a direct link between God and Man. This 'direct link' to God is so powerful that all things are possible.

Now, all of that sounds all nice and dandy but the truth of the matter is that a frightening number of folks believing in God choose to use this great tool of power not to bring peace and reconciliation and tolerance, but to request the destruction of anyone and everyone even remotely threatening to whatever spiritual beliefs are at stake.

Is Christianity the only religion that contains a large number of adherents who choose to use the power of prayer to destroy instead of build up? Goodness, no. This video is a fine example of such.

In this video charlatan evangelists totally undermine the supposed love of God by praying for war. For added effect the studio claps and cheers their approval.

Oh geeze. Forget praying that others will see the love and mercy of God; that will get you nowhere. Instead, pray for God to send a tornado to wipe out your enemies.

Tell me again how praying for God's wrath and judgment will get you any closer to salvation and eternal happiness with God and Jesus? I missed that the first time around.

WOW. A prayer asking God to break the teeth of your enemies. Totally FUBAR.

While the major religions continue to fight and point fingers at each other while citing that one another worship a violent, mean and angry God...they are each praying to their own God to vest His righteous wrath and destroy all those who think of believe differently. Interesting. So, with God all things are possible and of all the things believers could ask for they ask for war and wrath and violence?

Well, three cheers for spreading the love of Jesus.

So long as people continue to believe the bull crap of Bible-based faiths these same people will continue to pray for the destruction of those who believe differently.

And some people wonder why the government has noted or implied Christianity is dangerous.

Well, well, well. Another douchebag representative of God mouths off.

I do not understand why this man has such difficulty in answering this question with a simple 'no.' Not only that, but he doesn't really give a difinitive answer and seems to hint at a backdoor loophole where, yes, it is okay to pray for the deaths of others.

So, let me get this straight. Efforts to come to some kind of peace agreement in Israel is frowned upon by God? That's your story? God will become angry and express His wrath if people press for peace? I've got that much correct, right?

Somebody was drinking the bong water.

God is soooooooo merciful that in order for people to see and understand His mercy He whips up some natural disaster that kills lots of people and hopefully converts many more to Christ?

WTF is wrong with this picture? Does God really want people to pray this way?

Ahh, the logic and reasoning of the fucktards of the universe.

When Christians Persecute Others

Read Ester Lighthorse's newest book today!
http://www.amazon.com/Turkey-Broth-Spirit-Questions-Pentateuch-ebook/dp/B00GVLQ0CY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386004442&sr=8-1&keywords=ester+lighthorse

It is Always a Case of the Pot Calling the Kettle Black

I think it is a bit ridiculous for those individuals who point to all those who do not believe in the Bible or the God of the Bible, to claim that the non-believers are in essence and fact the root of the world's problems. Of course, when has organized religion ever taken the time to stop and really consider, admit to their part in the many atrocities throughout history? Perhaps their reasoning is that since they have God and salvation through Jesus Christ they don't have to worry about their aberrant behavior ever being the root of the world's problems.

What happened to the popular saying people have been repeating for eons, that money is the root of all evil? Apparently, that long-standing measure of the financially obsessed has lost its appeal. After all, maybe it just seems more exciting and fun for the fanatically religious to blame non-believers for problems, right? I mean, sometimes those who are blamed don't turn and walk away but rather turn and defend themselves...and with any luck they will fight the religious crusaders of the universe, which in turn can be manipulated to appear as though Christians are being attacked for believing in God.

So many Christians are eager to claim they are being persecuted but at the same time are loathe to admit their own guilty acts of persecution against others who choose a different god(s) to worship, or even no deity at all. Also, what is quite often left out of Christian claims of persecution are the true reasons why a person or group of people have decided to speak out against Christianity and the Bible, why they are angry with Christianity and the Bible and God. Many Christians would rather have as many people as possible believe that they are under attack just for following the Bible and believing in God and Jesus, rather than being under attack because someone got sick and tired of being told that they are evil for being gay or are going to hell because they don't measure up to a God they don't even believe in in the first place.

Overall, Christianity has done a pretty good job of making itself and its members look like the helpless persecuted of the world, goodly searching, spiritually hungry and suffering, yet amazingly hopeful spiritual refugees just waiting for their victorious savior to return and take them home. However, the growing technology within communication coupled with a greater effort for the thorough study of history is little-by-little peeling away the gilded mask of institutionalized religion. And what lies beneath the beautiful mask? Ugliness, fear, maniac desire for control, forced submission, endless lies, psychopathic stories repainted and retold as miracles, severe abuse, theft, genocide, infanticide, deep prejudice, and threats that are all anything BUT love and compassion, and certainly devoid of anything having to do with freewill.

Before Christianity or any other major religion starts claiming that its adherents are being persecuted, these faiths really need to buckle down and take a look at the crazy shit, the persecution they have aimed at each other and at those who do not wish to believe. You will run into many fine, kind people who are Christian, sure. However, Christianity itself is cruel and mean and it draws its power and its control through the persistent persecution of others.

According to this unfortunate, almost comatose fear monger the 'net' is closing in around Christians as the world becomes more and more dangerous. 'THEY' are coming for the Christians and 'THEY' are coming for the children of the Christians. Oh, and 'THEY' are full of shit.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9ss-zsvd6o

This man talks about the price that is paid in some form or other for being a Christian. He seems to conveniently forget the price that is paid by those who are not Christian. What is their price? A wide variety of prejudices and stereotypes and put downs and bombardments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23NEz3Vc4L0

According to this man a couple in California who held Bible Studies in their home were told by authorities that if they did not stop the gatherings they would be fined. The way this man explains the story you would think that some unusual and religiously horrible thing happened that threatens the souls of everyone. This guy really needs to stop saying, "Can you believe this? This is America we are talking about." He is misinterpreting facts in order to give his delusional spiritual quest a little oomph. Oh, and the couple is still holding Bible Studies in their home and religious rights are being protected.

Then there is the flip side of the coin, right? Do you think that Christians would give a good goddamn and a mother f*ck if it was not their own Christianity? Would they be even remotely interested in fighting for, showing support for a couple holding home studies about metaphysics, philosophy, Wicca, Shamanism, and a whole laundry list of others? I am not saying that this couple should not be supported because Christianity fails to support others who believe differently, no. I am just saying that it is interesting how Christianity as a whole cannot view anything from any other perspective other than its own.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwPNX7xfNfk

Oh please!! Faith purification? What is the difference between that and what some Christian groups ask their congregation members to do or to think or to believe? This video is great in vilifying the Muslim faith, while at the same time NOT mentioning anything of what members of Christianity have done to members of different faiths all over the world. When Europeans began sinking their nails into the New World they were intent on bringing salvation to the indigenous peoples, and were exceedingly violent and murderous toward the Native Americans of North, Central, and South America.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_gHYZmJ2Ww&list=PL461230951B158563

The fucked up descriptions in this video about Christians being persecuted are not all that different from the violence Christians throughout history have resorted to in an effort to force native peoples from all over the world to convert to the God of the Holy Bible. Have Christians ever been persecuted? Oh yes. That is a fact. However, Christians should not try to use their history of persecution as a brownie button or medal of valor considering Christianity's own verifiable history of persecuting others.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXjlkaM-ikY&list=PL461230951B158563

This is good. Puts a new spin on the question, "What would Jesus do?"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JQj31V4IbI

The title of this video is 'Christian Persecution Coming to America from Islam.' Hummm. Sounds similar to what happened with the religion dragged across the Atlantic when the Europeans began wreaking havoc in the New World. The Europeans had already had loads of practice beating down the pagans and heathens and peasants with Holy Bible based faiths before doing the same thing to the people of the Americas. Considering that, Christians really should stop acting so goddamn surprised that people want to persecute them. I am not saying it is a good thing to persecute Christians or any person of any other faith or no faith. I am just saying that considering Christianity's own trac record with persecuting people they have no grounds to pretend they do not know why Christianity draws the ire of many people.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAlbuX9xnAk

Christianity lies about far more than some people realize. Scary.

Spoiled Brat of the Divine II

How long did it take for God to lose control of His divine wrath, or to be sadistic and plain mean?

The Book of Exodus

The Book of Exodus is truly horrible. God regularly kills, maims, destroys, or instructs others to do so. He lies, tricks, and purposely MAKES people to do things that are not in their best interest...like when God purposely hardens Pharaoh's heart. God has zero control over His anger or over His apparent desire to do some pretty fucked up shit.

In this post I really did not pick videos that were specific to each verse. I was simply so disgusted with Exodus that I picked videos that discuss God's many shortcomings and ridiculously absurd behavior and instructions. Enjoy these verses from the Book of Exodus that portray God's complete and total unworthiness to be worshiped by anyone.

Exodus 3:20 "So I will stretch out my hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders that I will perform among them. After that, he will let you go."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RT8WATQ6vWY&list=PLQvzVjHW5eHiCO_rgzbvgbay3odaKCJVK

Exodus 3:21 "And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1BzP1wr234

Exodus 3:22 "Every woman is to ask her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of silver and gold and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. And so you will plunder the Egyptians."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVw5OzuOCmY&list=PLQvzVjHW5eHiCO_rgzbvgbay3odaKCJVK

Exodus 4:14 "Then the LORD's anger burned against Moses and he said, What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and he will be glad to see you."

The Spoiled Brat of the Divine

How long did it take for God to lose control of His divine wrath, or to just be sadistic and plain mean?

The Book of Genesis

God is perfect. God is just. God is loving. God is merciful. God is...well, according to the Bible God is a lot of things. Be that as it may the Bible presents verse after verse that serves as evidence that God is anything BUT perfect, just, loving, merciful, or any other good character trait.

Nope. No no no. God is most certainly nothing like what His flock of sheep think He is.

I started this post with the goal in mind that I would list all of the verses I could find in the Bible that made reference to God's ridiculous, temper tantrum, foot-stomping, two-ear-old, pouting little boy behavior. There were too many verses to put into one posting and so I decided to go book by book and list them.

Please note that not all of the verses I list will have a corresponding video.

Genesis 3:24 "After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life."
So, here in this verse we have God displaying the ferocious nature of His sadistic tendencies. I mean, God kicks Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden regardless of the fact that God purposely set Adam and Eve up for failure, God put the bad tree right where His human creations could have easy access and God neglected to tell Adam and Eve about the freaking serpent. What kind of sicko does that? Frankly, I think that the story of Adam and Eve is a great indicator early on as to the absolute sadistic nature of God.

Genesis 4:5 "...but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast."

Yet another early example of God's twisted behavior, right? Surely Mr. Omnipotent knew that by giving Abel a happy signal for his sacrifice to God and by giving Cain a not-so-happy signal that something not-so-good was bound to occur. Let us assume for a moment that God isn't bloodthirsty and demanding of ritual sacrifice, but would Cain have killed Abel if God had accepted both of their sacrifices instead of just Abel's?

Genesis 6:3 "Then the LORD said, My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years."

So...just like any good soap opera would spice up the story line in order to get better ratings, here God decides to give all people on planet earth about 120 years to get their affairs in order before He yanks the carpet out from under them. God shows no desire to show people how to live and behave and He sure as shit didn't show any mercy. Nope. What God does is more or less say, "Fuck 'em all."

Genesis 6:6-7 "The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the LORD said, I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created--and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground--for I regret that I have made them."

God is so upset that His intelligent creation is not pliant and obedient that He decides the best course of action is to kill everything. What a fuck-up.

Genesis 6:13,17 "So God said to Noah, "I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth."

"I am going to bring flood waters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish."

Genesis 7:21 "Every living thing that moved on land perished--birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind."

Genesis 7:23 "Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark."

Genesis 9:5-6 "And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being."

"Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind."
What kind of divine sicko insists on making the animals pay for blood spilled? How in the fuckey-doo are animals supposed to account for themselves? Explain that stupid shit. Is God so eager to see something suffer?

Genesis 11:6-9 "The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them."

"Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
"So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city."
"That is why it was called Babel --because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth."
And so many Christians pray every day, every damn day that God would allow people to actually get along with each other. Huh. Seems to me that it was God and His sadistic desire to stir the pot that broke people up to begin with. Seriously. Look up the story of the Tower of Babel in the Bible and you will see it was GOD who interfered negatively when He saw that people were working together. Man was NOT fighting. Man was working together.
Apparently, God was so put out that man was actually getting along just fine without God that God decided to fuck everything up. Read the story. What does it say? It says that God makes the comment that with men working together NOTHING will be IMPOSSIBLE. So what does God do to rectify the situation? Why He makes all that was possible when men worked together IMPOSSIBLE by rendering the people incapable of working together. Fuck you, God. Fuck you.

Genesis 12:17 "But the LORD inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram's wife Sarai."

Sooo...never mind that it was not Pharaoh's fault that he did not know Sarai was Abraham's wife (good 'ole Abe told Pharaoh she was his sister), but God decides to punish Pharaoh for Abraham's lie. So goddamn ridiculous. God is a total affront to what justice is by nature.

Genesis 19:13, 26 "...because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the LORD against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it."

"But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt."
Alrighty then. Never mind that Lot offered his daughters to a crowd outside his door; since God did not intervene He implied His consent of Lot's fucked up offer. Here God decides He is so pissed off He is going to snuff out a couple of cities with fire from heaven. He tells Lot and Lot's wife and daughters to NOT look back as the cities are being destroyed. Lot's wife's curiosity gets the better of her and she takes a peek, instantly turning into a pillar of salt. Lovely. Maybe it is not so much that Lot's wife disobeyed an order to NOT look so much as it is God did not want any witnesses to His dastardly deed.

Genesis 20:18 "...for the LORD had kept all the women in Abimelek's household from conceiving because of Abraham's wife Sarah."

So, once again we have a fine example of God placing punishment on someone when they had nothing to do with what they are being punished for in the first fuckin' place.

Genesis 22:2, 9, 12 "Then God said, Take your son, your only son, whom you love--Isaac--and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you."

"When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood."
""Do not lay a hand on the boy, he said. Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."
Here is one of the most popular stories in Christianity that always bothered me, right? I mean, Mr. Omnipotent should have known the quality of Abraham's faith without instructing Abe to pull an Andrea Yates.

Genesis 29:31 "When the LORD saw that Leah was not loved, he enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless."
Well, what have we here but God pitting one woman against another...for no fucking reason at all. I think God simply loves to see people suffer physically, mentally and spiritually. And the issue here is not just Rachel being barren by divine decision, but read the verse again and you will see that Leah was not loved. Of course, with God being love and all you would think He would do the righteous and compassionate thing and allow Leah one of the most important and basic requirements for a happy and satisfying life. But nnnoooooo...because why? Because God was apparently having too much of a good time watching Leah pop out kid after kid, each time hoping that she would have finally done enough to earn the love she so desperately craved.

Genesis 30:2 "Jacob became angry with her and said, Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?"
Ahhh. The widely practiced and highly acclaimed, Oliver North-style, divine edition game of Pass the Buck. Why the fuck is Jacob angry with Rachel when he himself stated it was God pinching off Rachel's Fallopian tubes? Is Jacob so afraid of God and of confronting God about the bullshit treatment towards Rachel that he turns on Rachel? The sociopath implications here as to The Almighty's behavior is actually quite frightening and completely and totally devoid of any caring and nurturing.

Genesis 32:25 "When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob's hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man."
Here we have straightforward evidence that God fights dirty...just like many spoiled brat bullies in the world we know.

Genesis 38:7, 10 "But Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the LORD's sight; so the LORD put him to death."
"What he did was wicked in the LORD's sight; so the LORD put him to death also."
